More than a Granfondo, an entire weekend dedicated to sport, events and the local area, in the unique atmosphere of the Tour de France
Mondovì, September 20, 2026 – The Monregalese area experienced a day dedicated to great cycling with L’Étape Mondovì by Tour de France. On Sunday, cyclists from across Italy and abroad took to the roads of the area, turning the event into a major celebration of cycling and the local territory.
From the start in the heart of the city to the spectacular finish in Piazza Maggiore, participants rode through some of the most distinctive landscapes of southern Piedmont. The route took cyclists through the Monregalese Langhe, Alta Langa and Valle Corsaglia, among vineyards, hazelnut groves, villages and climbs, with the passage in front of the Regina Montis Regalis Sanctuary in Vicoforte standing out as one of the most spectacular moments of the day.
L’Étape Mondovì once again confirmed the vocation of the international L’Étape Series by Tour de France format: bringing the experience of great cycling to territories that can showcase their identity, landscapes and local excellence through the route.
The four jerseys celebrate the Granfondo’s leading riders
L’Étape Mondovì 2026 celebrated the protagonists of the four jerseys inspired by the Tour de France, recognising the athletes who stood out in the different Granfondo categories.
The Yellow Jersey, symbol of overall leadership, went to Martina Cavallo of OM.CC among the women and Alberto Nardin of MG.K Vis–Promotech–FMB among the men.
The Polka Dot Jersey, awarded based on the individual time trial climb, confirmed the dominance of Martina Cavallo (OM.CC) and went to Marco Marzi of Pigarella Multisport ASD among the men.
At the intermediate sprint, the Green Jersey was won by Joana Magnavita Kfuri (Tessera Giornaliera) and Andrea Pani of GS Passatore.
The White Jersey, dedicated to the best Under-25 riders, was awarded to Erika Nitelli of Polito Cycling ASD among the women and Flavio Serafini of ASD Swatt Club among the men.
The results across the four classifications added a strong competitive dimension to a day that successfully attracted a broad and international audience.
The Alpi del Mare Cycling Ride also takes centre stage
Alongside the Granfondo, the Alpi del Mare Cycling Ride, the non-competitive cycling experience offered as part of L’Étape Mondovì, also attracted a large number of participants. Designed to experience the local area at a different pace, without the competitive aspect of the race, the route allowed cyclists and enthusiasts to explore the hills, villages and valleys of the Monregalese area while sharing the atmosphere of the event and discovering some of the most spectacular landscapes of the territory.
The recreational ride thus completed the event’s offering, confirming L’Étape Mondovì’s commitment to involving a broad audience, from competitive riders to cycling enthusiasts, making the bicycle a way to discover and fully experience the local area.
A weekend that went beyond the race
L’Étape Mondovì was not just a day of competition. Throughout the weekend, the city hosted a programme dedicated to cycling, sport and live entertainment, alongside local food and wine, with the Expo Area providing a showcase for partner companies, activities for the public and children, the Music Run and a full programme of side events.
The event also confirmed its international dimension, with participants arriving from numerous foreign countries. This further strengthens the event’s tourism appeal and Mondovì and the Monregalese area’s ability to position themselves as an outstanding destination for cycling enthusiasts.

With the finish in Piazza Maggiore, another edition came to a close, transforming Mondovì and the Monregalese valleys into a spectacular stage for international cycling. A journey through sport, landscapes and local heritage, in the unique spirit of the Tour de France.
